Remove the old thermal pad:

How to choose the size you need.
1: Calculate the size of each location that needs to be cooled.
2: Calculate the thickness of the thermal pad according to the gap between the boards.
3: The thermal pad is soft. The thickness needs to be increased by 0.5-1.0mm in the calculation. Fits tightly after installation squeeze. Better heat dissipation.
4: When the thickness of the purchased thermal pad is insufficient, it can also be used in superposition.
5: The heat dissipation effect is best only when the two sides of the thermal pad are closely fitted and not crushed.
